Skyline Recognizes Two Outstanding Community Members
Two members of the community received awards from Skyline CEO Mike Madden: Theresa Perry PTA of Skyline Physical Therapy and Steve Gillette of Columbia Credit, Inc.
Theresa Perry, assistant director for Skyline Physical Therapy, received Skyline Hospital’s employee of the year award. Ms. Perry has worked in the physical therapy department for over nine years as a physical therapy assistant. It is one of the top sports physical therapy programs in the United States.
Dave Wiltsie MS, PT, SCS, the program’s director, knows exactly why Ms. Perry was chosen employee of the year. “Theresa has an outstanding work ethic. She goes above and beyond without being asked and that reflects in how she treats patients and coworkers.” Skyline Physical Therapy specializes in orthopaedics, sports physical therapy, and women’s health, along with rehabilitation, neurological dysfunction among other things.
Theresa deflects some of the attention off herself, by making sure it is known she is just one of many dedicated employees at the hospital. “We have an incredibly dedicated staff here at the hospital. Everyone works really well here together and I couldn’t have gotten this award with out the incredible support from everyone, including the wonderful administration.”
The second award Mr. Madden announced was the Service to Skyline award, which goes to a local business dedicated to supporting the hospital on the hill. Steve Gillette of Columbia Credit Inc. received this honor. “He has been a friend to the hospital in many ways, and we particularly appreciate him sponsoring our employee golf tournament,” explains Skyline’s CEO. “His generosity allows us to offer our employees—and their families—a chance to win big with a hole-in-one.” Mr. Gillette sponsors a hole-in-one for $25,000. Needless to say, the employee golf tournament is well-attended.
