MISSION:

Improving community health programs and hospital services for western Klickitat and eastern Skamania counties through private donations.

The Skyline Foundation is a non-profit community benefit corporation dedicated to improving healthcare in the Skyline service area,

Licensed and bonded in the State of Washington, Skyline Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The foundation is not part of Skyline Hospital, but it works closely with hospital staff, local doctors and other health care providers to identify the health care needs of the community.

Good health requires keeping up with changes in technology and equipment. Today this is a challenge for even the large, well-heeled hospitals and clinics. It is a monumental task for our small rural hospital.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Wayne M. Henkle, M.D. Scholarship Fund

The foundation scholarship fund was established in memory of a long-time and much loved community physician.

This fund provides educational scholarship money for aspiring health care providers residing in the Skyline service area or continuing education for Skyline Hospital employees. Scholarship recipients must be willing to return to work in the Skyline service area for one year after their training.
