Skyline Foundation Welcomes New Executive Director
The Skyline Foundation is pleased to welcome Stephanie Irving as their new executive director. The Skyline Foundation, a non-profit organization, supports the health care programs of Skyline Hospital and the community it serves (eastern Klickitat to western Skamania counties). Stephanie Irving is a writer, an editor, a community organizer, and a fundraiser. In addition to her duties at the foundation, Ms. Irving will manage the new marketing department of Skyline Hospital.
“We are excited to reach this stage of development at Skyline,” says CEO Mike Madden. “We’re investing in the future by strengthening the health care delivery system in both counties and improving our service to our friends in the gorge.”
“Local residents have been watching Skyline’s new addition with interest, and now that it is nearing completion, Skyline Hospital is poised for an exciting future,” says Ms. Irving of the expanding hospital. The new building is scheduled to be completed this fall while the renovations of the existing building will complete the project by spring of 2010.
“This is more than just a facelift,” mentions Ms. Irving. “In addition to the new wing which offers—hands down—the best views in the gorge, the hospital is improving their services with, among other things, an expanded Diagnostic Imaging Department with a new high-definition ultrasound machine and a top-of-the-line CT scanner.”
Her professional background is in publishing where she spent over a decade as an acquisition editor for hiqh-quality non-fiction books. Recently, she has written grants for a local school district, edited annual publications for a prestigious San Francisco-based orthopaedic clinic, and managed several successful fundraising events. Stephanie lives in Trout Lake with her husband, Steve King, and two teenage sons Lucas and Alex.
