The town of White Salmon is 60 miles east of Vancouver, WA, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and the Cascade mountains. Skyline Hospital itself sits on a bluff above the mighty Columbia River with breathtaking views up and down the Gorge and snow-capped Mt. Hood in the distance. Throughout the spring and summer, windsurfers and kite boarders dot the river below in this stretch of the river that is regularly referred to as one of the top five windsurfing areas in the world.
Working at Skyline is both challenging and rewarding. Sometimes it is just a quiet rural hospital, and other times the doctors and staff are in full gear as a trauma center. And those are the times when you find everyone pitching in to make sure everything runs smoothly and the patients always come first.
Local hospitals depend on a dedicated support staff. Point in fact, our nurses must be ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and PALS certified.
