Voters in Klickitat County are easily approving a new six-year emergency medical services levy for the Skyline Hospital district. At the end of the May 15 vote count 2,188 had voted yes, 75 percent of those casting ballots, to 729 no. That easily met supermajority approval and turnout requirements. It is not the final vote count. Under Washington state law ballots must only be postmarked by election day, so votes can continue to come in for the next couple of weeks.
