Eligibility Requirements:
Applicant must have a current Washington State Physical Therapy license or be eligible to attain a license
previous to initiation of the Sports Physical Therapy residency
Applicant must possess one of the following: ATC designation, a current
license as an EMT or certification as an Emergency Responder prior to initiation of residency program

Application Process
Submit a resume along with your personal goals for the residency experience no
later than January 1 of the year you intend to participate in the program.
Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a Residency application including
two recommendation letters no later than February 1, with a follow up interview to be scheduled.
What to expect:
- mentored patient
- time with certified sports specialists
- instructional lectures and labs with our diverse and qualified faculty
- surgical observations
- patient load of at least 40% sports cases of all ages
- athletic venue coverage including local high schools and community events
- prevention screenings and clinics
- dedicated time for teaching, research, presentation and self study
- opportunities for teaching for the community, undergraduate PT students, PT
staff and medical staff
- opportunities for presentation with patient cases and/or research
